The script doesn't do justice to veteran actors like Om Puri, Gulshan Grover and Johnny Lever, as their immense talent is wasted in the film. The jokes too are pitiful and aren't worth a laugh.
The story line moves on, without any logical connections between the characters and the screenplay, hardly makes the film funny. Kusum Sharma (Rati Agnihotri) who plays the commissioner's wife in the film. Inspite of so many characters already in the film, there are few more who are introduced in the course, a dutiful police officer Pralaya Pratap (Om Puri) and police commissioner Sharma (Neeraj Vora) too play dumb characters. In the film's latter parts, it is revealed that Rajjo (Shweta Tiwari) is the daughter of Ajay Prakash (Shakti Kapoor). Incidentally, Johny Lever plays a 'gay' named Sajjan Singh and is the real blood brother of Durjan Singh. Whereas Gajraj is after the suitcase, Durjan is behind his life for losing such valuables. Shreya (Priyanka Kothari), his love interest, along with her lover AD and his gang that comprises of Murari (Rajpal Yadav), Hazari (Sanjay Mishra) and Cheeta Singh (Vijay Raaz) reaches the village and from thereon the chase to get hold of the suitcase begins. Accidentally Aftab, aka AD, a small-time thief, gets his hands on the suitcase.
Filled with many characters, the uncertain story creates no strong plot for the film.Īn underworld don Durjan Singh (Gulshan Grover) hands over a suitcase full of valuable jewels to Gajraj (Mukesh Tiwari) to get a good amount in return. The story revolves around a gang of small town thieves who enter an unknown village as heroes. But the director is mistaken that their mere presence was enough to prop the film, and that too having an ordinary script and unimpressive dialogues.Chandrakant Singh's 'Bin Bulaye Baraati' is like any other Bollywood's multi-starrer comic caper that promises to be different but like all, ends on a poor note.
With such a line-up of seasoned comedians, Bin Bulaye Baraati could have been a laugh ride. Mallika Sherawat is there for a special item song ‘Shalu Ke Thumke’ which too isn’t impressive and the other item number is done by Shweta Tiwari in ‘Jawani Ka Achar Dalogi’ which is targeted to the masses. Unfortunately their mere presence isn’t enough to prop the film as it falls flat with a directionless script and mish mash of characters that you start thinking whether to laugh or just pity the innocent characters that are in it just for the money. With such talented seasoned character actors known for their comic timings, it could have been a genuine humorous film.
It was expected to create laughter on the edge of the seat as the movie comes to a thrilling climax. The excitement unfolds as these characters face-off each other in a once-in-a-lifetime performance packed with healthy comedy, drama and action backed by the melodies. They find it comfortable to continue to masquerade as cops, and they make themselves at home, but the Black Cobra gang tracks them down and plots to capture and kill them.
Having taken them to be real law officials, the town’s appreciative residents welcome them and throw a feast in their honor. Once they arrive in the village just in time to stop Loha Singh (Manoj Joshi) from molesting a woman. Having stopped in Madhavgarh village, AD, Shreya and other criminals are on the run from police as well as other gangsters, so they disguise themselves using fake police uniforms. The cat and mouse game of the chase results into a chaotic pile-up with more characters colliding together, leading to dramatic and comical sequences where all of them end up to take shelter at Madhavgarh village.īin Bulaye Baraati continues with a string of characters like Rajo (Shweta Tiwari), Sajjan Singh (Johnny Lever), Ajay Prakash (Shakti Kapoor), Manoj Joshi (Loha Singh), Ranjeet (Hemant Panday) and a sexy dancer Mallika Sherawat. Shreya is the niece of Police Sub-Inspector Pralay Pratap Singh (Om Puri). Bin Bulaye Baraati movie review…Īs lovers, AD and Shreya (Priyanka Kothari) are on the run, they come across criminals Hazari (Sanjay Mishra) and Murari (Rajpal Yadav) who have just robbed the Police Commissioner’s home, and Chetta Singh (Vijay Raaz) who has stolen the car belonging to the Commissioner’s wife, Kusum (Rati Agnihotri). Aftab Shivdasani (as AD) who is on the run takes away with the van full of dacoit’s fortune. Bin Bulaye Baraati is a hilarious story which takes off when Gulshan Grover (Durgan Singh) a dangerous dacoit meets the don Mukesh Tiwari (Gajraj) at a casino to sell his diamonds and jewels.
